Autumn/Winter Menu 2023
An important part of our ethos is around the provision of hot, fresh, nutritious meals. Sharing tasty, healthy school lunches is an integral part of the educational experience at Thomas Hall school. It’s also an opportunity to enhance social skills and table etiquette, ensuring lunchtimes are a positive experience for all. School staff often enjoy taking lunch with pupils, creating a family atmosphere. For Autumn/Winter menu please click here.
The lunch meals cooked on-site are vegetarian (in line with the ethos of the Avanti Schools Trust).
School meals are prepared and cooked on-site by the catering providers, Govindas. Please click here to see Govinda’s website for further information.
Gluten Free and Vegan Options available to children registered as such on Arbor. Please contact the school office to update dietary preferences.
Allergens
The menu indicates where meals contain the following allergens – G – Gluten, D – Milk/butter, Ce – Celery, So – Soya, Mu – Mustard, Su – Sulphur
Meals can be designed to meet the needs of children with specific allergies. If the lunch provision on offer does not meet your child’s needs, or if your child has specific diet requirements/preferences, please do speak to us so that we can provide for your child accordingly.
Booking school meals
In order to enable our staff to minimise food wastage please book meals a week in advance (i.e. the next week’s meals by Thursday the week before).
Please book all meals (even for UIFSM and FSM pupils) on Parent Pay. https://www.parentpay.com/
Contact the school office if you need assistance to activate your Parent Pay account.
School meals cost £2.70 for pupils in Years 3-11. Pupils in Reception and years 1 & 2 receive Universal Infant Free School Meals (UIFSM) free of charge.

Free School Meals
We strongly encourage parents who have financial constraints to apply for Free School Meals (FSM). The easiest way to apply to make a Free School Meals application is online here. An application form can also be obtained from the school office. Any forms received by the school will be kept confidential.
